Images were retweeted thousands of times.

Last week two photos appeared on social media, claiming to show the difference between the way someone with astigmatism views lights at night, compared to how someone without astigmatism sees them, the UK’s Mirror newspaper reports.

The images show a nighttime traffic scene: in one, the lights streak out in bright, blurry lines, and in the other the lights look completely normal.

A Twitter account called Unusual Facts was the first to share the images and the tweet went viral.
More than 55,000 people liked the post and over 23,000 retweeted it.
