Minnesota Governor’s ASL Interpreter Has Her Own Fan Club

The deaf community is “finally able to feel included.”

Nic Zapko of Minneapolis is often seen beside Minnesota Governor Tim Walz during his regular briefings, City Pages reports.

Zapko translates the governor’s remarks into American Sign Language, and she has become famous for her emphatic gestures and facial expressions.

A small fan club has formed on Twitter, and even the UK’S Daily Mail has taken notice.
