Druglord ‘El Chapo’ Is Losing His Eyesight in Prison

“He is not doing well,” lawyer says.

Joaquín ‘El Chapo’ Guzmán has only been in prison for a couple of months and his eyesight is already failing, the UK’s Daily Mail reports.

The 62-year-old drug kingpin, who co-founded the Sinaloa Cartel, is serving a life sentence at the ADX Florence super maximum security penitentiary in Colorado, from which no prisoner has ever escaped.

His lawyer Mariel Colón visited him there two weeks ago. Colón also formed part of Jeffrey Epstein’s legal team before he committed suicide last month.

She says she saw a big difference in El Chapo’s physique since he was transferred on July 19 to the  facility after he was sentenced by a judge in a Brooklyn court to life plus 30 days.

“He looks much skinnier, a little more stifled. He is not doing well there,” Colón said, according to Univision. “It is the saddest I have ever seen him.”
