We all need some good news — right? Well, I’m here for you.
According to the Los Angeles Times, hospitalizations for COVID-19 in California are at their lowest point since the pandemic began. That represents a 93% drop since the peak in January — definitely cause for celebration!
No doubt that’s largely due to the number of people who have been vaccinated — but there’s still work to do. Some communities are still missing out, and efforts are now shifting from the mega-sites like Dodger Stadium to more local access, such as doctors’ offices and pharmacies. CVS stores across the state are now giving vaccines on a walk-in basis — no appointment necessary.
If you’re among those who haven’t been vaccinated yet, I strongly urge you to do it. I’ve gotten mine, and it didn’t hurt a bit.
