We may be getting tired of the restrictions, but unfortunately, Covid-19 is not getting tired of us. There have now been more than 165,000 cases in California, and more than 5,300 deaths, and although the numbers aren’t going up as quickly as a couple of months ago, they are still increasing.
People may be talking about anticipating the second wave, but we’re still not out of the first wave, and if we’re not careful, it could last a lot longer.
Governor Newsom has made sensible exceptions to the mask requirement, including, I’m happy to note, for deaf people and those who need to communicate with them. You can read an article that lays out the rules here.
